Dan Hulchanski
joined Gulfstream Property & Casualty MGA, Inc. on June
20, 2005 as Director of Sales and Marketing. Dan came from
Syracuse, New York where he majored in Mathematics at the
State University of New York College at Oswego. He moved to
the Tampa Bay area in 1993 and has held positions in the Florida
insurance industry ever since.
His career began
at Bankers Insurance Group in St. Petersburg, Florida where
he held positions in Customer Service, Underwriting, Product
Management and Sales. Dan started in Personal Auto policy
processing where he then went on to quality assurance, systems
review, training and procedural re-engineering. He later became
an Inside Sales Representative responsible for solicitation
and service of multiple product lines including Auto, Homeowners,
Commercial and Flood. In this capacity, Dan coordinated the
marketing aspects of the first major FRPCJUA depopulation
program for Bankers Security Insurance Company.
In December 1997,
Dan joined The Seibels Bruce Group, Inc. of Columbia, South
Carolina as an Account Executive where he was responsible
for managing the West and Southwest Florida regions. Dan was
quickly promoted to Florida Team Leader with additional duties
ranging from Account Executive training and oversight to general
project management. While at Seibels Bruce, he managed marketing
relations with Sunshine State Insurance Company and QualSure
Insurance Corporation, both newly formed Florida domiciled
homeowners carriers that began by assuming policies written
through the FRPCJUA.
In August 2000,
Dan accepted a position with QualSure Insurance Corporation
as Manager of Sales and Agency Development where he implemented
agency appointment procedures and managed overall statewide
production. His position as Sales Manager included a broad
range of additional duties including underwriting, exposure
monitoring, policy processing management, systems development/enhancement
and product rate reviews and filings.
