On February 7,
2005, Bob Boothe joined Gulfstream Property
and Casualty MGA, Inc. as Director of Claims on behalf of
Gulfstream Property and Casualty Insurance Company.
Bob came to Gulfstream
with over 30 years claim management experience. Beginning
in 1971, Bob spent six years with Royal Globe Insurance as
an adjuster and territory supervisor in Syracuse, New York.
He then joined the Prudential P&C (PRUPAC) management
team in establishing a New York claims office, and moved on
to PRUPAC’s headquarters in Holmdel, New Jersey where
he developed the company’s first group personal umbrella
policy program.
Bob went on to
other assignments establishing and managing regional offices
for Crum and Forster Personal Insurance in Durham, North Carolina
and Tampa, Florida, and as the Director of countrywide property
and casualty claims for Worldwide Insurance Group in Valley
Forge, Pennsylvania. Bob returned to Florida in 1995 to work
with the newly created Florida Residential Property and Casualty
Joint Underwriting Association (FRPCJUA) as the Director of
Claims where he assembled and managed a group overseeing claims
administration for over 900,000 personal lines policies. During
Bob’s five-year tenure, the FRPCJUA was often cited
as the model for claims outsourcing administration.
Just prior to
joining Gulfstream, Bob held the position of Director of Claims
for QualSure Insurance Corporation in Sarasota, Florida. While
at QualSure, Bob’s claims administration skills were
again demonstrated with his instrumental role in QualSure’s
achieving loss ratios among the industry’s lowest for
five years running.
Bob has earned
the CPCU designation and holds a BA Degree in Business Management
with Academic Distinction from Eckerd College.
